lovely stay with easy access!

i found the location great, a short walk to restaurants and shops. even the cathedral was only about 10 minutes away. one of the staff, brian, was amazing! he was fantastic, helpful, and kind.
the room was a bit chilly when i returned, so i used the electric heater provided. central heating seemed to go off, and the bathroom lacked heating. it was minus 2 degrees outside.

The hotel had parking on a first-come, first-served basis. That is a big bonus. there is also a bar with space to sit to chat or read. it was easy to find, driving into the area, and easy to get out of town again.

the continental breakfast offered enough choice, with gluten-free bread offered. oat milk was available, very kind. the breakfast was simple but well-presented, and there was plenty of it!

The staff were friendly and helpful , they tried their best to assist me when needed! one staff member stood out. He was fantastic and his name is brian. he was very helpful and kind.

The location proved convenient. The train station was quite close. I also really appreciated the nearby Aldi for any immediate needs. I found a relaxing space in the lovely garden to enjoy a drink. Staff at reception were friendly, and I enjoyed the bar.
The bedding wasn't quite to my liking.

the room was huge! i loved the furniture. the breakfast room had a nice atmosphere. the breakfast was amazing!!! plenty of towels, toilet paper, coffees, and teas were available. the garden looked nice and adds value to the hotel.
the bed sheet wasn't clean when i got there, and something felt very uncomfortable at night. i hope they address this soon!!!

the hotel had a charming garden! some parts are former coach houses and horse boxes. the location is near a relatively busy roundabout, but noise was minimal from the city side of the hotel. laundry is affordable too!

The continental breakfast seemed limited. I noticed no hot options were available, only cold meats and bread for toast. The room overlooked a busy roundabout, and despite the double glazing, noise from speeding motorbikes was evident. This impacted sleep quality.

i appreciated the hotel's great location for exploring the area (a short walk to everything). on-site parking was a definite plus. the staff were friendly and helpful throughout my stay. the room was clean and quiet, which i found quite relaxing.
i found it difficult to get a constant temperature in the shower. the thermostat seemed off.
